The Elizabethtown Regional Airport (EKX)/Addington Field opened for business in 1982 and has expanded several times. The airport is located near the intersection of Ring Road and St. John Road in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.

Elizabethtown is a hub for several major road ways including I-65, U.S. 31W, U.S. 62, Western Kentucky Parkway and the Bluegrass Parkway. We are centrally located 45 miles south of Louisville and 105 miles south-west of Lexington.

EKX is a public general aviation airport sponsored by the City of Elizabethtown and is managed by a Board of Directors appointed by the City. The Airport Board meets on the second Monday of every month at noon in the main terminal building. Meetings are open to the public, and interested parties are encouraged to attend.

Through the airport’s Fixed Base Operator (FBO), Elizabethtown Flying Services, Inc., we provide refueling, aircraft rental, maintenance, avionics sales and other services.
